As we get closer to the end of November, 2017 seems to be right around the corner. 2017 brings a new year that can be filled with new goals, discoveries, and adventures! Once November rolls around, I start on a hunt for a new planner. I bought an Emily Ley Simplified Planner last year and it worked out pretty well. However, I am looking to save some cash this year and customize my planner to fit my changing lifestyle.
I need a planner that will help me organize my blog, business, college work, and personal items. Originally, I did a custom built planner on two different websites that ranged from $40-70. I found a video on Youtube that showed how you could build one using resources on Amazon which cost close to $40 and was not exactly what kind of layout I wanted. #thestruggleisreal
I keep going back and forth, but after a conversation with my sister, I decided to spend some time on Pinterest in which I have found some free printables and ideas. My favorite find so far has been from Sparkles of Sunshine…check out this free printable 2017 planner with a weekly spread as well! I love the floral and the pretty font used. She also outlines how to make a daily planner very cost effectively. I believe that if I was creating my own planner I would be combining lots of things together — including these free printables from Shining Mom. They have some great dividers, homework planner pages, goal and vision pages. These free printables from Eliza Ellis are nice weekly spreads. There are many different options in format and layouts…these are just some of my favorites!
After doing some more consideration and considering time spent, it was easier for me to purchase my 2017 planner. However, I wanted to share some of the links I found for those who would like to build their own planner. I hope to in 2018 when I have more time to put together the materials and customize it even further.
Which one did I end up going with? Let’s just say Plum Paper ended up being the winner as they have a Cyber Monday deal for 30% off and a free notebook. Keep an eye out for a post all about it and how I chose to organize it for 2017 next month!
What is your favorite planner or rather your favorite kinds of accessories?
